How to Get in touch

Reading Ambassadors

We are the Clapham Terrace Reading Ambassadors. Our role is to share our love of reading with our peers. We also help Mrs Batchelor to make decisions about reading and English in the school. This year we plan to lead the celebrations for World Book Day, improve the reading shed, lead own books and much more. We are also excited to share the new reading for pleasure activity called Clapham Carl’s Book Club with you all.

Reading Ambassadors

Download our latest video where we talk about what being a Reading Ambassador is all about.

Our fantastic reading ambassadors have been helping to set up our outdoor reading shed.

At Clapham Terrace we are very fortunate to have our own Patron of Reading – Stephanie Clarkson (pictured left).  Stephanie is a children’s author who comes in regularly to work with all of our pupils; she has led assemblies and workshops with each class, and has worked closely with our reading ambassadors and CTCN journalists. Stephanie last visited the school on World Book Day 2025 and worked with each class on the process of  inspiration, writing and publishing.

Book Swap

On World Book Day 2025 our Reading Ambassadors teamed up with Mrs Batchelor to organise a Whole School Book Swap.

Everyone was invited to bring in a book, or books, that they wished to swap or donate, and were then given the opportunity to chose a new book from the Book Swap.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the event. It was very exciting to visit the Book Swap to chose a new book and to share books we have already read and enjoyed with our friends and classmates.
