The Eco Activists are very keen to get started with their projects to help the planet this year. We are starting off with a big focus on saving energy around the school. The Eco Activists are in charge of reminding and educating others about wasted energy and encouraging everybody to turn off lights and unplug devices when we aren’t using them. Soon, we are working with Action 21, a local and sustainable second-hand shop, to create a fun art project that will be made of waste materials that would otherwise end up in landfill. We have decided to do a sea inspired project to represent the amount of rubbish that ends up in our oceans and to help remind everyone to reuse, reduce and recycle.
We are learning about the properties of circles and triangles. We used our 2D flat shapes to create pictures with our partners!
